3 Day Workshop
Base metal clay
This 3 day intensive program will give you hands on experience in mastering techniques for working with bronze metal clay. This is a beginner to intermediate class recommended (although not a pre-requisite) for those with kiln firing metal clay experience. Please review the recommended experience level details prior to reservation to ensure this workshop meets your requirements.
This workshop is designed to teach you how to create your own unique design bronze pendant from Bronze metal clay. Under Rodi's guidance you will create your own template and design, your own unique piece that incorporates the included techniques. You will decorate both the front and the back of the pendant with hand formed and carved elements. After kiln firing the piece, you will also bezel set the stone by either creating and soldering a bezel setting or soldering a cup bezel setting determined by the pendant design .
You will also cover rotary tool sanding, polishing and the addition of patina to your piece based on your preferred finish. Royal Bronze is designed to open the door to realize new inspirations in your designs made possible with the skills you will learn. You will be producing, not reproducing a piece.
